Dr Olivia Nova

Olivia Nova is a periodontist with a wealth of expertise and experience in clinical dentistry. She holds a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in the field of Periodontics from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Currently, she serves as the Head of Department for Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics at the Sydney Dental Hospital.

Olivia’s dedication to education and her keen interest in advancing the field of periodontics are evident through her roles at key dental institutions. She has been appointed as a postgraduate clinical educator, examiner and an honorary lecturer at the University of Sydney. She is also an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.  Additionally, Olivia won the first prize for her poster presentation at the International Academy of Periodontology in 2019, on the subject of Dental mouthwashes.

Her commitment to professional development is demonstrated by her appointment as one of the team leaders for the National Osteology Group – Australasia, study club director for the International Team for Implantology (inner west and south Sydney) and her involvement as a committee member for the Australian Osseointegration Society (NSW). 

In addition to her clinical and educational roles, Olivia holds membership in the following organisations:
